Eli Goldbaum, President
President and CEO of SeniorCare, LLC, Eli Goldbaum has been
active in the health care industry since 1987. In previous
years, Eli served as a comptroller of a group of nursing homes,
and as an industry consultant for accounts receivable and
reimbursement. At SeniorCare, Eli regularly assists elderly
clients and their families with Medicaid planning and preservation
of assets, as well as preparation and submission of Medicaid
applications.
In addition to his position at SeniorCare, Eli serves as
president and CEO of FHS Consultants, LLC, and PIMM Communications,
LLC. FHS Consultants offers accounts receivable reduction
and facility management services to the healthcare industry.
The recipient of a pilot project agreement with the NYC Medicaid
Assistance Programs Nursing Home division, PIMM Communications
manages and pre-processes Medicaid applications for many New
York City nursing homes.
A much sought after lecturer in the health care field, Eli
has lectured for the New York State Bar Association Health
Care Section, and the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Additionally, Eli regularly lectures to health care professionals
in hospitals, nursing homes and nursing care agencies. An
influential figure in the health care field, Eli’s advice
and input are regularly sought after by professionals.
Pinny Heller, Director
Pinny Heller joined SeniorCare as its Director in September
2004. A graduate of NYU, Pinny spent sixteen years at Prudential
Securities, initially as an analyst in the New Accounts Department,
and later as First Vice President. During his years at Prudential,
later to become Wachovia Securities, Pinny was responsible
for systems support of 10,000 users in over 300 branches worldwide,
as well as overseeing the firms’ adherence to the USA
Patriot Act, all SEC regulations and every new IRS requirement.
Pinny was awarded a certificate from N.Y. State for Quality
Management in 1994, and a degree for brokerage procedures
from the N.Y. Institute of Finance in 1992.
Since joining SeniorCare, Pinny has been able to utilize
his knowledge of all types of financial accounts, IRA’s,
annuities, stocks, mutual funds and CDs in assisting families
with their financial planning, specifically in the area of
preservation of assets in preparation for the Medicaid application
process. Pinny’s many years of managerial experience
combined with his interpersonal skills make clients comfortable
and confident to reveal and discuss sensitive personal and
financial information. Pinny’s knowledge assures families
that their financial concerns are being taken care of by a
competent and caring firm, as they go through an extremely
trying time with their loved ones.
Gloria Ferreras, Director of Medicaid Services
Gloria Ferreras’ many years of experience and expertise
in all aspects of Medicaid make her a valuable member of the
SeniorCare team. Prior to joining SeniorCare in April 2003,
Gloria was employed by the city of New York for 33 years,
in various administrative capacities. Following sixteen years
as the executive assistant to the deputy commissioner for
Public Assistance, Gloria was promoted to the position of
deputy director of Medicaid’s Community Mail Recertification
Program. In 1991, Gloria was once again promoted, and served
as the Director of the New York City Medical Assistance Program’s
Nursing Home Division for over a decade. As Director, Gloria
developed major policy, operational, and programmatic initiatives.
Gloria also had the distinction of being chairperson of the
Nursing Home Advisory Council, and a member of the NYS/NYC
Long Term Care Provider Committee.
In her role at SeniorCare, Gloria brings a unique perspective
to the Medicaid process. Her experience with and knowledge
of the Medicaid systems and rules are priceless, and she has
assisted many clients in navigating the complexity of the
regulations of Medicaid planning.
